Last month we had a blast at the Miami Open, formerly the Sony Open, in Miami, Florida. One of the oldest and most prestigious events on the tennis circuit. This year, the iconic brand FILA partnered with Lime Media to reach consumers in a new and exciting way while the tournament was in town. Lime Media created a custom, FILA branded tennis game that was motion activated. The objective; hit as many banded FILA tennis balls falling from the top of the screens before they drop off at the bottom. When the players would hit the branded tennis balls they would explode into Fila’s colors and score points. To make it challenging, Lime Media added unbranded pink tennis balls that would deduct the player’s points when they were hit. No matter the final score, every consumer who played the game on the giant video wall received branded FILA prizes from the brand ambassadors. To engage as many consumers as possible, the game was a short 30 seconds in length. The program kicked off at the world famous Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne at a large charity event and hit cool, high-traffic areas around the Miami metro during the first week of the tournament!
