our special projects division fabricated a giant 8 ft+ driving version of gary by building his shape from a steel wire frame on the base of a quad. once his shape was formed, the frame was covered with wire mesh and then spray foamed. detailed hand-carving took over 5 days to complete his specific shape, and then he was covered in epoxy and varnish and painted. the inside of gary was left hollow with just enough space for a driver to fit inside. we added 3 cameras with mounted displays as well as a cooling system inside for the driver to operate gary.
