The log files include IP addresses, browser type, ISP, date/time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. They are used to analyze trends, administer the site, track user movement, and gather demographic information. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.

Data from Activations and In-Field Services

In addition to information collected through our website, Lime Media handles data in connection with real-world marketing activations, mobile tours, and LED and digital truck campaigns. That data falls into two categories, which we handle differently.

Operational and Measurement Data (Data We Control)

We collect and maintain operational and measurement data that we use to run, measure, and improve our services. This includes the date, time, and location of activations and routes; estimated and measured impression counts; dwell time and interaction duration; audience-count estimates derived from device-signal sensing, such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth presence detection; routing and vehicle telemetry; and playback data and logs from our proprietary Smart Directional™ systems. We use this information to measure and optimize campaigns, benchmark performance, and develop proprietary insights, products, and analytics. We maintain this data in aggregate or de-identified form and do not use it to identify individuals.

Programmatic Mobile Advertising Data (Data Handled by Third-Party Platforms)

Some campaigns deliver mobile advertisements to devices located within a defined geographic area around our vehicles or activation sites. This delivery is carried out through third-party programmatic advertising platforms, including advertising exchanges and supply-side and demand-side platforms. In these campaigns, device-level signals and precise location data are collected and processed by those third-party platforms, which obtain the required consumer permissions through device operating systems and publisher applications. Lime Media does not collect this data directly from consumers, and the reporting we provide to clients is aggregated and does not include names, contact information, raw location logs, or device-identifier lists.

Our Role

When we handle personal data in connection with a client’s campaign, we generally act as a service provider or processor, and we process that data only on the client’s documented instructions and not for our own independent purposes. When we determine the purposes and means of processing our own operational and measurement data described above, we act as a controller of that data.

Device Identifiers

At a client’s request, we may arrange for mobile advertising identifiers associated with a campaign to be delivered to the client or to the client’s advertising platform. Mobile advertising identifiers are personal data. We handle them at the client’s direction, and we do not retain them after delivery.

Combining and Sharing

We may combine aggregate or de-identified campaign data with public or third-party sources to improve our insights, but not in a manner that identifies an individual. We do not sell consumers’ personal data or share it for cross-context behavioral or targeted advertising for our own purposes, and we do not publish or sell any individual or client-specific campaign data in a way that discloses personal information or a client’s confidential business information.

Sensitive Data

We do not target individuals on the basis of, and do not process, sensitive data, such as data revealing religious beliefs or racial or ethnic origin, without consent where consent is required. Campaign audiences defined by a client are executed at the geographic and audience-segment level, not by identifying individuals by protected characteristics.

Your Privacy Rights

Lime Media complies with applicable privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act), the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act, the Colorado Privacy Act, the Connecticut Data Privacy Act, the Utah Consumer Privacy Act, and other applicable federal and state laws.

Depending on your state of residence and applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • Confirm whether we process your personal data and access that data;
  • Correct inaccuracies in your personal data;
  • Delete personal data we hold about you;
  • Obtain a copy of your personal data in a portable format; and
  • Opt out of the processing of your personal data for targeted advertising, the sale of your personal data, or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

We will not process sensitive data without your consent where consent is required by applicable law.

To exercise these rights, contact us at info@lime-media.com or 972-475-1200. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and we will respond within the period required by applicable law (for example, within 45 days under several state laws, with an extension where permitted). You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

If we decline to act on your request, you may appeal by contacting us at info@lime-media.com. If your appeal is denied, you may contact the attorney general in your state. Texas residents may contact the Office of the Texas Attorney General.

We may engage third-party advertisers or websites, and we recommend that you consult their respective privacy policies for detailed information on their practices. Our privacy policy does not apply to, and we cannot control, third-party activities. If you’d like a copy of any applicable third-party privacy policies, contact us.

Children’s Information

We are committed to protecting children online and do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If you believe that we have information from or about a child under 13, please contact us immediately.

Scope of This Policy

This policy covers information collected through our website and information we handle in connection with our marketing activations, mobile tours, and LED and digital truck campaigns, as described above. Where we act as a service provider or processor for a client’s campaign, the client’s own privacy policy may also govern that campaign.

We respect your privacy and will only use the information you provide to communicate with you via SMS as outlined in this policy. Your personal data will not be shared with third parties unless required by law or as necessary to deliver the requested service.

SMS opt-in consent or phone numbers collected for SMS purposes will NOT be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.

Security

To help protect the privacy of data you transmit through use of this site, we maintain physical, technical, and administrative safeguards. We update and test our security technology on an ongoing basis. We restrict access to your personal data to those stakeholders who need to know that information for the purposes outlined in this policy. In addition, we train our employees about the importance of confidentiality and maintaining the privacy and security of your information.

Requesting Notice in Alternative Format/Language

You may be able to request this notice in another language where we provide such notices in the ordinary course of business or in an alternative format if you have a disability. Please see our contact information below to request an alternative format.

Your information will only be used for the purpose specified at the time of opt-in and will not be used to send unrelated messages.

3. One-to-One Consent Requirement

In line with FCC regulations (March 2024), your SMS opt-in applies to communications from Lime Media only. Your consent to receive SMS messages is specific to our company and does not extend to third-party businesses or affiliates unless explicitly stated and separately agreed upon.

4. Message Frequency and Data Rates

The number of messages you receive will vary based on your interaction with our services but the average message frequency is approximately 2-3 per day. Please note that message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. We encourage you to review your carrier’s terms for more details on messaging fees.

We may, however, share your information with trusted third-party service providers for the purpose of facilitating SMS delivery (e.g., telecommunications providers). All such parties are bound by strict confidentiality agreements and are prohibited from using your data for any purpose other than SMS delivery.

In compliance with Do Not Call (DNC) Registry regulations (2024), you have the right to register your number with the National DNC Registry. If you are on the DNC Registry, we will not send you promotional SMS messages unless you have provided express consent to do so.

7. Security of Your Information

We take reasonable measures to protect the information you provide from unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data during transmission or storage.

8. Record-Keeping and Proof of Consent

As required by the TCPA and Campaign Registry guidelines, we maintain records of all opt-ins and opt-outs, including timestamps and the method of consent. These records are kept securely and may be used to demonstrate compliance with regulatory requirements if needed.
